2024 Update: Four years later and this bag has gone around the world with me. It’s held up beautifully, maybe even looking better than new because it’s less shiny and less orange. It’s softened with use so it’s become floppier than it was when empty but I still love it and enjoy using it. A lot of people in airports have asked me about it. This is a very durable bag getting better with age, which is exactly what I’d hoped, and the price was very fair for this quality of leather. I hope for many more years together. My feelings about the shoulder strap haven’t changed — the padded section should have been thicker. Grazie!——————////———————————-This is a very nice leather bag and I am happy with it. It is not a luxury-quality bag, but it is a very durable travel bag with a timeless retro style. I was shopping for a leather weekend bag with no visible logos (pet peeve of mine) and this fit the bill so I trusted all the other positive reviews and ordered it.The stitching is even and the bag was neatly sewn with solid seams and came with a thick dustbag. The lining fabric is a good quality. Mine has a metal zipper (some older reviews mentioned plastic). I purchased this for a long weekend and it was the perfect size for a few outfits and an extra pair of shoes. There was no problem with using it as an airline carry-on.Before the first use, I applied a leather protector and there was no change in the color. I thought it would darken the kinda orange tone but it didn't. Oh well, I can live with it. I didn'tnotice any issue with odor that some others mentioned. The bag smelled like tanned leather and the smell was hardly noticeable by the next day after I unpackaged it (it came in tissue paper inside plastic). I look forward to many more adventures with my new bag.My only complaint is that the padded shoulder patch should be a lot larger since the bag can get heavy when stuffed.
