My husband assembled this in about 45 min. The directions were easy but a few places the holes didn’t align perfectly. The wood is solid and has a nice finish on it and can easily be wiped off. Complaints: because of the hardware not being very heavy duty, it doesn’t feel super secure at the joints. This is from hardware not the wood though. My husband is probably going to reinforce with some of our own hardware and screws. The screw holes are also not finished off if that matters to you. Sort of an eye sore to us personally as it just looks unfinished. Wood plugs or plastic caps would really finish it off nicely. Overall still happy with the set. My 7 year old son has his chess set on it. He’s a very small kid for his age though, so it’s probably better for your average 3-5 year olds. His bedroom set is the same light wood color so it matches perfectly. The second picture you can see it in comparison to a full/double size bed.This is a cute little table that is affordable and I really appreciate that! It’s rather sturdy for the price and was very easy to put together (I did it myself, in about 30 minutes while tending to my infant hanging out beside me!)At this price point, there are some missing qualities, understandably. For instance, the top of one of our chairs has a large slab of paint or maybe it’s the finishing glaze? I’m not sure (see photo). I also wish that all the screws weren’t exposed (see photos) and I think this would be an easy (and cheap?) fix if the company included little covers for them. It’s a very attractive table despite these minor issues.If you’re looking for a sturdy and affordable playroom table for your kids, this is a good option- just be prepared for some minor flaws and imperfections.This is such a good looking set! I love that this is priced so affordably too. So often anything made of real wood ends up costing a lot more. This is is even more affordable than most of the plastic ones! It has a smooth finish and looks great. Very pleased with everything about it.Works great. Was easy to set up and use.
